For this week's edition of the 106.3 WORD Cover Story, we continue our small town series with a look at Williamston.

Williamston, South Carolina has a very rich and unique history, and if the things continue as they are, the sleepy town in Anderson County has a very bright future.

I spoke with lifetime resident and Williamston history buff, Thomas Addison, about the fun history of the town and what he feels like the future holds.

One thing Williamston is known for is it's Christmas Park. It is a beautiful display and you can either walk it or drive through it.

The Christmas Park isn't the only thing that Williamston is famous for. The town also hosts the Springwater Festival. Ed Jenson spoke with David Meade, the director of the festival.

Meade said there have been very few changes over the years

He said the festival is a boom to the community
