In this week's edition of the 106.3 WORD Cover Story we study up on the teacher shortage crisis that South Carolina is facing. Why are teachers leaving? What do educators have to say on the topic? What is the district doing about it?

Seth Stokes went to the Greenville County Schools' district office to speak with Lynn Gibbs, the head of hr, about how things look in the district and what is being done to slow the bleeding.

Patrick Gentry talked to a former educator who says, for them - teaching was never about the money.

Ed Jenson had a chance to talk with Dr. Mark Butler who is the Dean of the College of Education at Anderson University.

Butler said they must get new teachrs ready to go in the classroom.
