Poll Worker Shortage

In this week’s edition of the 106.3 WORD Cover Story, with the next voting cycle a little over a month away, we are taking a look at the growing need for workers at voting precincts across the upstate.

I spoke with Mellissa Braendle, the precinct coordinator in Anderson County about the shortage of workers they are facing.

Patrick Gentry talked with a former poll worker about their Election Day experience.

Ed Jenson had a chance to talk with Conway Belangia, the director of elections in Greenville county. He said the county does have a large pool of volunteers but they never turn anyone away.
