In this week's edition of the 106.3 WORD Cover Story, I take a look at A Ride to Remember; a three day bike ride to help end Alzheimer's.

The ride will start in Simpsonville on Friday, July 13th and will end in Charleston on Sunday, July 15th. It covers 252 miles.

I spoke with Ashton Houghton, the Vice President of Development for the Alzheimer's Association, SC Chapter, and one of the founders of the ride.

A lot goes into the and it requires an entire logistics team to ensure that everything goes smoothly. Becky Pickett is one of the members of the ride's logistics committee and she talks about what is involved in putting the ride on and why it is so important to her and her family.

Ben Howard is a first year participant in A Ride to Remember. He began training in February and tells me that being a part of something like R2R is really special for him.
