For this week’s 106.3 WORD Cover Story, I took a gorgeous drive down Highway 25 to Due West, South Carolina to learn about a new program being added to Erskine College’s athletic program. The Erskine athletic director won’t be needing to order equipment such as footballs, helmets or pads. In fact, in most instances’ players don’t even go outdoors. This new “sport”, many of you are familiar with – electronic gaming. In this week’s Cover Story, I learned the ins and outs of the latest sport that is drawing the attention of millions of gamers, and one local college. You will also learn the answer to the big question, can you make a living playing video games? Brandon Oberle with Erskine College gives us the details.
