In this week’s 106.3 WORD Cover Story, we came up with the idea of covering childhood vaccinations after wondering why many of the illnesses that the medical community had thought it had wiped up decades ago, are starting to be found again; including in portions of the Upstate. We started doing research about the problem and we found that many of the problems are arising based off the fact that fewer parents than ever before are choosing not to vaccinate their children. Anne Robards and I talk to both pro/con parents and also get a medical professional opinion in this week’s 106.3 WORD Cover Story.

Anne Robards sat down with Nurse Practitioner, Debbie Perkins, to find out why she, as a medical professional, believes that the benefits of vaccinations outweigh any cons.

Patrick Gentry talked with Stevi Fincher about her decision not to vaccinate her child.

Anne Robards sat down with Heather Martin, mother of three, who does not believe in vaccinations. Heather had some bad experiences with vaccinations:  One where she herself got sick after being vaccinated as a teen, and more after being urged by her doctors to vaccinate her oldest son when he was an infant.
