Clear the Shelters day is tomorrow, [Saturday 8/17/19] a nationally televised event to get fur friends out of the 4 legged orphanage and in to fur-ever homes.

The Oconee Humane Society is participating, the opportunity came because they are a Petsmart partner through the company's charity program.

The broadcast makes it possible for folks from all over to see who is available to adopt.

Angel Newman on the Board of Directors recalls one couple who adopted from the O-H-S hailing all the way from California for THEE PERFECT CAT for them!

There will be special pricing for adoptions tomorrow… 864-882-4719.  They will open at 10am tomorrow [Saturday].

More than 100 thousand animals from over 1200 shelters found homes last year according to the Clear the Shelters website. Hopefully the "tail-lee" will be just as great for 20-19.
