Anderson, SC (8 August 2017, 2:30 p.m. EDT) – We are pleased to announce the launch of our brand new website! After several months of hard work and dedication by the emergency management team, we are delighted to officially announce the launch on 7 August, 2017. The new site launch is available and the URL is emd.andersonsheriff.org.

Our goal with this new website is to provide Anderson County citizens with an easier way to learn about the Emergency Management Division’s services and to allow site visitors to browse information based on their needs. The new website is interactive and gives better access to About Us, Mosquito Program, Natural and Man-made Disaster information, County Emergency Plans, Family Emergency Preparation, Anderson County LEPC, Anderson County CERT & MSaR, and Preparedness Guides developed by the SC EMD. Our citizens will find useful information about our services on the homepage of our website.

Amongst the new features, the site contains integrated social media buttons for Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and YouTube to foster improved communication with the citizens. In addition, the site will allow the community to provide vital feedback on disaster plans including the basic emergency operations and hazard mitigation plans developed for the County.

We will be constantly updating our content with helpful information to keep people informed about emergency preparedness and planning measures for Anderson County as well as resources available to county residents.

We hope you find the new website with a fresh look, easy to access information and we also wish to establish this portal as a source of information for those who visit our site. The site was also designed with the mobile user in mind and uses adaptive technology to make for a better user experience.
