ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — A man has died after he was shot after he returned to his former girlfriend's home in South Carolina.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown told news outlets that 37-year-old Roger Andre Anderson went to his ex-girlfriend's home Tuesday night.

McCown says Anderson was asked to leave, but saw his ex-girlfriend in the garage and there was a confrontation.

McCown said the woman's son shot Anderson, who died later at a hospital.

No charges have been filed in the case.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the shooting.
