Broome HS On Lockdown

Students moved to another building

Spartanburg County's Broome High School is on lockdown and its students evacuated, while Sheriff's Deputies investigate a note found on the District Three school's campus shortly after 9:30 this morning.

The students wo were led out of the building about 10:15 and loaded onto buses to keep warm. The note reportedly warned of a bomb planted somewhere in the building.

A district spokesman says students have been moved to another building for restrooms facilities and lunch.  The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office Deputies and SLED are investingating.

The building is being seacrched which is expected to take at least 2 hours.  

An announcement regarding dismissal is expected later this afternoon.
