Brown Wins Straw Poll For 4th District

Stephen Brown got the most votes Monday night in a GOP straw poll for the 4th Congressional district that was held at the Greenville county Republican party meeting.

Brown received 42 votes. State Rep. Dan Hamilton and former Spartanburg County Republican Party Chairman Josh Kimbrell tied for second with 27 votes.

Shannon Pierce had 25 votes, followed by former state Sen. Lee Bright with 17 votes, James Epley with 16 votes and state Sen. William Timmons with 14 votes.

No other candidate received more than three votes.
