According to a Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office report, the driver told deputies he was driving southbound on business 85 between noon and 12:30 Sunday near Bryant Road when he heard two loud bangs.

He thought a rock or debris from the road hit his vehicle but after checking for damage he found two holes in the rear of the vehicle. One hole was in the roof and the second was just above his tail light.

A deputy found what appeared to be remnants of a bullet while inspecting the trunk. The driver told deputies he did not see anyone point a gun and there were no suspects.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
