The new sports bar slated to take over the spot of the former Wild Wing Café in downtown Greenville is set to open its doors next week.

The Charleston Sports Pub will open on Wednesday in the location on West Washington Street, beside Barley’s and across the street from the Aloft Hotel.

The sports pub chain, already a hit in Clemson and Charleston, is hoping its new Greenville location will become a hotspot for sports-themed food and atmosphere.

One way they hope to draw in diners: Clemson’s national championship trophy will be present at the bar on July 27, so Tigers fans can have a chance to hold the trophy and take pictures with it free of charge.

A bunch of drunk Clemson fans holding a priceless trophy – what could go wrong?

The restaurant will also feature a ton of TVs – 90 screens total.

And with 60 beers on Tap and a virtual gold simulator, the place’s owners are calling it an indoor TopGolf.

Wild Wing Café, which previously occupied the space, closed about seven months ago with no explanation.
