The Greenville County deputy who was attacked by three dogs on Saturday is out of the hospital..

Officials say the deputy received multiple stitches and abrasions and is expected to recover..

Meanwhile, the house occupant responsible for letting the boxers out, despite the deputy's verbal commands to secure the dogs, has been charged. Deputies identified her as 40 year-old, Shona Denise Thompson, of Piedmont. Thompson was charged with Assault & Battery 2nd degree, and remains in the Greenville County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.

When the initial deputy arrived on scene, he observed multiple large and aggressive dogs at the door.  He requested an occupant inside to secure the dogs so he could tend to the issue and a short time later, an occupant let the dogs out at which time 3 boxers attacked the deputy, who suffered multiple bites.

The original disturbance for which deputies responded was unfounded.
