The ballot is set for a special election in the State House District 14 seat which came open with the retirement of Mike Pitts for medical reasons. 

Voters in the Republican primary nominated Stewart Jones with just over 51% of the vote, unofficially, avoiding a runoff in that four candidate race. 

Garret McDaniel was the winner in the Democrat primary, unofficially recieving just over 92% of the vote.

The Special Election is April 23 in District 14 which encompasses parts of Laurens and Greenwood counties.
