Two people were arrested after the Laurens County Sheriff’s office discovered five dogs living in horrible conditions in a home on Wofford Shoals Rd earlier last week.

The dogs had no food water or shelter. The Sheriff’s Office says two dogs were found with heavy chains around their necks and one chain was padlocked so tightly, deputies had to call in the Durbin Creek Fired Department to cut the lock.

Laurens County Sheriff Don Reynolds says Brandon and Robin Hayes were arrested Monday and charged with ill treatment of animals.
