The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Anderson woman late Sunday evening for being a Fugitive from Justice.

32 year old Erica Leighann Mullis of Davis Circle was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 11:32pm.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division on routine patrol observed some suspicious subjects removing items from a dumpster at an address on Edinburg Way. The deputy made contact with the subjects.

A check of the subjects identification showed that Mullis had an outstanding warrant out of the state of Georgia for a probation violation for a Burglary – 1st Degree charge.

Dispatch was able to confirm the warrant with officials in Coffee County, GA and they requested that the Sheriff’s Office put a hold on Mullis for extradition purposes.

Mullis was placed under arrest and transported to the Detention Center where she was placed on a Temporary Custody Order until a Fugitive from Justice warrant was obtained this morning.

Mullis remains in custody at the Detention Center at this time.
