After a six-month campaign, Bike Walk Greenville has achieved its goal of raising $100,000 to cover half the construction costs for a trail spur to connect Lakeview Middle School to the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail. Greenville County will contribute the other $100,000 and will start construction of the 4/10-mile spur in January.

Executive Director of Bike Walk Greenville, Frank Mansbach, says they are extremely grateful to the major donors and the more than 125 private donors along with Greenville County, which is matching the money raised.

The idea of the Lakeview Link is to not only help students walk and bike to school safely, but to help Berea and Sans Souci residents safely walk and bike to places they want to go, like downtown Greenville and Travelers Rest.
