Faith & Freedom BBQ Headliners Named

Former Trump campaign officials Lewandowski and Bossie

July 30, 2018 - 10:16 am

Laurens, SC – U.S. Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-3) announced his keynote speakers for his 8th annual Faith and Freedom BBQ beginning at 6pm at the Anderson Sports & Entertainment Center (previously called the Anderson Civic) on August 27, 2018. The event, heralded as “South Carolina’s largest gathering of conservatives,” will be headlined by former Trump presidential campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and deputy campaign manager Dave Bossie.
Following his time with the Trump campaign, Lewandowski founded government affairs firm Avenue Strategies. After leaving the firm in 2017, Lewandowski formed his advising firm Lewandowski Strategic Advisors. In addition to governmental affairs work, Lewandowski has been a political commentator for Fox News, CNN, and One America News Network.
Bossie went on to serve the Trump Transition Team as the deputy executive director, following his time as deputy campaign manager with Trump’s presidential campaign. Except for his time with the Trump campaign and Transition Team, Bossie has served as President of Citizens United since 2001. Bossie’s other accomplishments include serving as Chief Investigator for the US House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight, producing 25 documentaries for Citizens United Productions, and being ranked 2nd in Politico’s 50 most influential people in American politics for 2015.
Lewandowski and Bossie have recently co-authored the NYT bestseller Let Trump Be Trump which details the insider account of the Trump presidential campaign.

"Corey and Dave were instrumental in laying the foundation for President Trump's 'America First' agenda," said Duncan. "I look forward to hearing them discuss what it was like on the campaign trail, and how the Trump Administration is restoring freedom in this country."
Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple. In appreciation for their service, all veterans, guardsmen, first responders, and their families may claim free tickets for the event. Tickets may be purchased or claimed online at
Lewandowski and Bossie will be joined by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, South Carolina’s First Congressional District Republican Nominee Katie Arrington, and “America’s Tenor” Steve Amerson. More speakers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. This year's event will also feature a live charity auction conducted personally by Congressman Jeff Duncan. Last year the auction raised over $8,000 for veterans groups and disaster relief.

1063 WORD's Bob McLain will air his program live from the Anderson Civic Center on the day of the event from 3PM to 7PM.
