A full list of fun autumn events

In case the grey blanket of clouds hanging over Greenville isn’t indication enough, autumn is officially here. As the leaves change color and cozy sweaters are unboxed from the closet, the festivities of summer are finally cooling off.
But that doesn’t mean there won’t be a harvest bounty of events slated for the area this season.
Here’s a full list, compiled GVL Today, of what’s on the calendar for autumn 2018:
October 4 – 5: 14th Annual Blues and Jazz Festival
Old-school-style music festival featuring soul, jazz, and smooth percussion
October 4 – 6: Oktoberfest at NOMA Square
Biergarten, kegs, bratwurst – the full Oktoberfest experience
October 4 – 6: Albino Skunk Music Festival
Laid-back acoustic music meets campgrounds for a fun outdoor experience
October 6: Spartanburg International Festival
A global collection of culture, food, clothing, art, music and dance
October 10 – 21: South Carolina State Fair
It may be an hour and forty minutes outside of Greenville, but you’ll get the full state fair experience plus some autumn leaves and warm chili
October 12: Artoberfest
Stop by Travelers Rest for a good cause, supporting Shriners Hospital with a festival of art, music and food
October 12 – 14: BB&T Fall for Greenville
Beer, wine, chefs cooking for you, food vendors lining Main Street, and of course music – all right downtown
October 12 – 14: 33rd Annual Antiques, Fine Art and Design Weekend
More than twenty five art and antique dealers exhibiting their best wares
October 17: Harvest Festival at Eastside Family YMCA
Hay rides, hot dogs, campfires, carnival games and more – perfect for families
October 19: Fresh Friday
Stop by for yoga on the lawn, live music, corn hole and artisans’ wares
October 19: Forestry Friday
Arran Farms hosts on its 80-acre property food trucks, live music, and 50-70 local makers
October 19 – 21 + 26 – 28: Future Scholar Boo in the Zoo
Trick-or-treat stations and costumed characters gather about for a special Halloween-themed fun
October 20: Art on the Trail
Artists gather at Trailblazer Park to sell their best pieces beside food trucks
October 20 – 21: The NESS Fest
Wellness seminars, cooking demos, exercise classes, yoga and more for the city’s first health and lifestyle festival
October 26: Harvest Festival at the Caine Halter Family YMCA
S’mores while on a hay ride sound up your alley? Maybe a campfire and some pumpkin painting? This event is great for the whole family
October 27: Hub City Brew Fest
Spartanburg’s premier beer festival, with all the best regional brewers in attendance
November 8 – 11: Highlands Food and Wine
Come to the mountains for food trucks, special wine tastings and dinners
November 10: Greenville Craft Beer Festival
The big beer event where brewers gather to pour the frothy good stuff in the cool November weather – bring a coat or just wear a beer jacket!
