Ever been out for a drive and notice people working along the side of the road and think to yourself “I wonder what they did to get in trouble…”? Chances are, they are not in trouble with the law, but simply helping make South Carolina more beautiful by working with Palmetto Pride to clean up the highways.

Palmetto Pride oversees cleanup efforts like Adopt-A-Highway, clean stream, and clean teams. I sat down with Palmetto Pride Event Coordinator, Esther Wagner, to learn more about what they do and how people can get involved.

Keeping up with litter is a tough task. Until people stop littering there will always be a need for cleanup crews and volunteers to help pick up around South Carolina.
