The Sheriff's office issued this press release regarding the shooting.

"Today around 1:45 pm, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding gunshots being heard in Boulder Creek Apartments (300 Furman Hall Road).  Shortly after we received the initial call, we received other calls regarding two gunshot victims who pulled in to the Spinx gas station at 2901 N. When Deputies arrived at the Spinx, they located two male gunshot victims, one who was deceased, and one who was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.  At this point, investigators know there was an altercation that occurred in the court between buildings 24 and 28, which resulted in gunfire being exchanged.

After the altercation, all parties fled the scene and that is when we received the call about the two gunshot victims being located at the Spinx.  Investigators are still trying to ascertain the details of what transpired.  We ask that anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.  As more details become available, they will be released."
