An unlucky dog's luck has changed!  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find a new home for a recently rescued 5-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever named Lucky.

Oconee County Animal Control started receiving phone about the stray dog in Walhalla and he was rescued two days later. 

Lucky was treated for a skin condition and is reportedly healthy and ready to be adopted out.  

If you or anyone you know is interested in helping Lucky by fostering or adopting him, please call the Oconee County Humane Society at 864-882-4719 or go meet him in person at the shelter on Sandifer Boulevard in Seneca.

Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeking Home for Chocolate Lab

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a home for a recently rescued 5 year-old Chocolate Lab named Lucky. Lucky is a stray from the Walhalla area.

On August 2nd, 2019 Oconee County Animal Control began receiving calls about Lucky and on August 4th, 2019 he was rescued and transported to the Oconee Humane Society. Lucky was diagnosed with sarcoptic mange. Lucky began receiving treatment and should be 100% by September 4th.
