Greenville County is among a number of counties put under a flood watch as of Thursday, which should go through the weekend.

Wet conditions continue to make for slippery roadways out there for drivers, with construction crews working through the mud.

Meanwhile, rivers continue swelling as the rain shows no signs of slowing down.

The Reedy River in downtown Greenville is currently a thick brown color as lots of mud is being carried with an unusually strong current, so the River Street underpass area is closed off to the public for the foreseeable future.

Jay Marret, the Deputy Director of Greenville County Emergency Management, urged people not to go any barriers, especially drivers out there, as only a foot of water is enough to wash most cars away.

He also warned that the heavily saturated ground could lead to uprooted trees in your yard, so be on the lookout for that.
