The Greenville Health System will be offering the Upstate free flu vaccines Tuesday afternoon, and what’s better than free, you don’t even have to get out of your car. Dr. Lindsey Selenski the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at North Greenville Hospital tells me why it’s important to get a flu shot.

"Because the flu shot is going to help reduce the severity of illness if they still happen to get the flu which is still possible and it reduces the frequency of hospitalization and those that have immunization."

There will be three different locations around the Upstate where people can get vaccinated.

  • GHS drive-thru clinic at Hillcrest Memorial Hospital (adult vaccines only), 4-7 p.m
  • GHS drive-thru clinic at Patewood Memorial Hospital (adult vaccines only) 4-7 p.m
  • GHS drive-thru clinic at Trailblazer Park, 235 Trailblazer Drive (adult vaccines only), 3:30-7 p.m

Dr. Selenski tells me what you need to do when you arrive to get your free shot.
