Suspect Arrested

Deputies from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office investigated a stabbing that occurred at 518 Edgemont Avenue.

The call first came in at 9:40pm Thursday regarding a stab victim. Once deputies arrived on scene they located the adult-male victim, who was stabbed at least one time, after an altercation with another subject.

The victim was transported to the hospital with significant injuries. The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies arrival and investigators are still gathering further information.

Update: Suspect Arrested

Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 21 year-old, Henry Flores-Guevara in connection with the stabbing that occurred Thursday night at 518 Edgemont Avenue.

During the course of investigation, investigators learned that just prior to the stabbing, Flores-Guevara and the victim, who knew each other, got into an altercation at a residence on Edgemont Avenue.

Flores-Guevara then took out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times. The victim suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

Flores-Guevara was charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime and remains at the Greenville County Detention Center, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
