Investigators from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 18 year-old, Damoni Ahmir Barker, and 18 year-old, Daniel Dennie, in connection with a home invasion that occurred on January 30, 2018.

In the early morning hours of January 31st the body of Tamyah Malichi Harris was located in a ditch near Hudson Street and Church Street.  He was found to have suffered from at least one gunshot wound.  During the course of investigation, investigators learned that prior to the shooting, on January 30th, Harris and three others committed a home invasion at Burdine Road in Greenville.

After forcing entry, Harris, who was armed at the time, was shot by an occupant inside.

The suspects then fled the scene and Harris’ body was found just hours later.

The investigation is still ongoing as investigators work to identify the other two suspects involved in the home invasion.

Both Barker and Dennie are being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on no bond.
