Georgia Woman Killed in I-85 Accident in Oconee County

A 28 year-old Covington, Georgia woman died early Wednesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle collision on I-85 near the 3 mile marker in Oconee County.  The collision involved an SUV and two Tractor-trailers.

Alyssa Wright died at the scene from multiple trauma. The deceased was wearing a seatbelt,  however the force of the impact ejected her from the vehicle. 

Her husband was transported to the emergency department at AnMed Medical Center.

The decedent, her husband and other family members traveling ahead of the Wright’s, were on their way to Winston-Salem, NC to visit family.
