The Greek Festival is here once again, which means lots of shaved lamb, dancing, and honey-coated deserts right here in Greenville.

The annual event, which takes place at 406 N. Academy Street, started on Thursday and goes through Sunday evening.

Just be warned if you’re going to attend, the event, like many other outdoor event spaces, now has a clear-bag policy, so make sure you account for that.

This year also will feature cathedral tours, which was not a feature of last year’s event due to renovations on the mosaics within the interior dome – so you’ll get to check out how that turned out.

This marks the 33rd year the annual festival has gone off. It’s the largest fundraiser for St. George Greek Orthodox Church.

It’s open from 10:30 am through 9:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, although Sunday will have slightly shortened hours, running from 11:30 am to 8 pm.
