Deandre Hopkins, All-Pro wide receiver for the Houston Texans, announced Thursday his plans to donate his playoff game paycheck to the family of Jazmine Barnes, the young girl who was fatally shot in a drive by shooting in Texas.

Hopkins, the former Clemson tiger, made his intentions known on Twitter this week, saying, “When I see Jazmine Barnes’ face, I see my own daughter. I’m pledging my playoff paycheck this week to help her family with funeral costs and to support [efforts] in bringing this man to justice. On Saturday, I will be playing in your honor, Jazmine.”

The shooter has been described as a bearded white man, possibly in his 40’s, driving a red truck.

On Saturday, the Texans will play the Indianapolis Colts in Houston in an AFC Wildcard playoffs game. Kickoff is at 4:35 P.M. E.T.
