Sheriff's deputies and SLED agents are investigating the  death of a Laurens County infant more than a week after being found "unresponsive" in a bathtub.

One year old Logan Wade Sumeral was brought to the hospital in Laurens on August 14th from his home on Highway 76 in Clinton.

The child had been flown  to Greenville Memorial where he died yesterday.

The coroner's report says death was caused by "brain injury due to drowning."

Kimberly and Joshua Collins were arrested on charges unrelated to the drowning.

Reports say deputies found their home was in a state of disarray and infested with bugs.

They are both charged with 3 counts of Unlawful Conduct toward Children due to the conditions of their home, according to the report.
