Laurens County Deputies Arrest Five

Including juvenile after major meth bust

Laurens County Deputies have arrested five suspects including a juvenile after finding drugs in the home.

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office says that on January 23rd they attempted to stop a vehicle but the driver didn’t want to stop and fled the area.

The brief chase ended in Spartanburg County where the driver fled on foot and was able to evade capture briefly but ultimately was apprehended by deputies.

Once investigators searched the vehicle thy seized several items, including ingredients for use in manufacturing meth. Laurens County investigators identified the driver, who also removed his ankle monitoring device, as Kristopher Damian Burton.

After obtaining a warrant to search Burton’s property, deputies located a large quantity of meth and also arrested all occupants of Burton’s home including a nameless juvenile suspect.

The occupants of Burton’s home have been named as: Amber Darlene Peake, Alyssa Deanna Tims, Amanda Danielle Marler, and the juvenile suspect was not named but was only charged with obstruction of justice.

The remaining adults, including Burton were charged with crimes ranging from the manufacture of methamphetamine and various other drug charges.
