Spartanburg County deputies said an arrest warrant has been signed for a man accused of throwing his girlfriend through a glass window at the Bojangle’s on Asheville Highway.

Deputies said they arrived Tuesday to find the victim on the ground and Bojangle’s employees standing over her. The employees had provided her with dish towels to use to apply pressure to her wounds.

The victim told deputies that her boyfriend, Quakentric Pendergrass, shoved her through the window when she followed him into the restaurant after they had been arguing outside. The victim was taken to the hospital.

While deputies were on scene, they said Pendergrass called the restaurant to ask if the victim was okay. Employees put deputies on the phone so they could get his side of the story. He reportedly told them that she tripped and fell. Deputies said the glass would likely not break due a simple fall.

A warrant was issued for malicious injury to property in regards to the broken window, and a judge found probable cause to issue a warrant for assault and battery-1st degree.

Sheriff's office officials said Pendergrass is still at large at this time.
