Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have arrested and charged 31 year-old, Stephen Earl Brown II., for intentionally colliding into multiple vehicles at the Lofts on Smythe Street, and the Walgreens on White Horse Road in the early hours of February 3rd, 2018. In addition, Brown is facing charges for Burglary, and larceny.

During the course of investigation, investigators discovered that Brown had burglarized a residence at an apartment complex on Claybrooke Drive and also stole a 2004 Honda Odyssey from the same parking lot, prior to damaging vehicles at the Lofts, and the front of a Walgreens store.

Following the break-in and vehicle theft, investigators learned that Brown drove to the Lofts, located at 201 Smythe Street and proceeded to intentionally drive into multiple vehicles after causing extensive damage to the security gate. Brown then drove to the Walgreens, located at 6050 White Horse Road and intentionally collided into the front of the business. Brown then left that location and returned to the Lofts where he continued wrecking into more vehicles before leaving and driving to the Gorilla Car Wash, located at 1918 Old Easley Bridge Road, where he drove into a wall multiple times before fleeing the scene without the vehicle.

Brown was arrested on February 16th and transported to the Greenville County Detention Center where he remains on a $69,500 bond. The motive behind the incidents remains unknown at this time.
