Martin Wins Seat On Lyman City Council

Voter turnout just 3 percent

Voters in the town of Lyman went to the polls on Tuesday to fill a seat on the town council.

With nearly 50 percent of the vote, Becky Martin became the  winner with 37 votes.

Neil Walsh was a close second with 31 votes and Mary McDowell received seven votes.

Voter turnout was only 3 percent.

Lyman’s elections are determined by plurality; therefore, Martin is the unofficial winner.

The votes will be certified on Thursday.
