He was wanted for murder, assumed to be armed and dangerous.

But now he has turned himself into local law enforcement without incident.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Deltravious Daquandra Howard, age 20, is behind bars. That’s according to Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lieutenant Ryan Flood.

Howard was wanted in connection with the shooting death of Jayla Thomas-Smith.  Her body was found February 24th alongside the road, near the intersection of Old Pelzer Road and Piedmont Highway.

Investigators determined that she had been shot and killed by Howard following a domestic incident and Howard had been on the run ever since.

Howard is now facing charges of Murder, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime and Larceny
