The Greenville County Sheriff's Office and the Greenville Police Department will be working together to improve Public Safety.

Greenville City Council approved a mutual aid agreement at their meeting Monday.

Mutual aid agreements give municipal departments the ability to go into outside, instructed jurisdictions, to perform duties such as serving search warrants and tracking stolen property.

Interim Sheriff Johnny Mack Brown says if any municipalities investigation takes them into county limits all they need to do is alert his office.

The agreement goes into effect immediately.
