Released from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office on Thursday.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has new guidelines for pastoral visits at the Oconee County Detention Center. These new guidelines are strictly enforced.

  1. All visits will be through Securus Video Visitation System
  2. Inmates must agree to the visit
  3. Ministers will be allowed one 30 minute visit per inmate each week
  4. Ministers must meet with the Visitation Officer to schedule visits between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Ministers may call ahead to verify Visitation Officer will be available to schedule visit.
  5. Ministers must show credentials or proof of being on staff at a Church in Oconee County.
  6. The visit must be during the inmate’s recreation schedule (visitation officer will advise)
  7. Ministers cannot be accompanied by an inmate’s family or friends
