Auto Breaking, Burglary in Simpsonville

A suspect wanted for auto breaking and burglary has been arrested and charged by the Simpsonville Police Department.

Simpsonville police have charged Honey Rose Hathaway with one count of auto breaking, two counts of petit larceny, one count of non-violent second-degree burglary and one count of malicious damage.

Bond for Hathaway has been set at $11,000: $3,500 for auto breaking and $7,500 for burglary.

Hathaway is suspected of breaking into a 2019 black Jeep Grand Cherokee on Wednesday with the intent to commit larceny and stealing vehicle manuals and vehicle registration valued at $50.

Hathaway is also suspected of breaking into Water Leaf Apartments at 7001 Wiley Drive and stealing hand sanitizer, a trash can, pillows and blankets valued at approximately $50 and damaging light fixtures, windows and televisions valued at approximately $1,500.

The Simpsonville police had been seeking assistance from the public in identifying the female subject for an auto breaking, mail theft and burglary on Wiley Drive on June 24 between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Hathaway, the suspect, had last been seen on foot in the area of Neely Ferry Road and Capewood Drive
