The US Dept. of Agriculture issued the original recall  about two weeks ago for chicken that could be contaminated with listeria.

The products recalled from Tip Top Poultry, based out of Rockmart Georgia, included  frozen - cooked, diced and shredded chicken products sold at Target and Trader Joes.

Now the recall has expanded to Aldi grocery stores , Bi-Lo, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Kroger, Piggly Wiggly and other locations in the Carolinas and Georgia.

The USDA has listed this as a "Class One Recall" meaning "there is reasonable probablility that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death."

As of right now, no reports of sickness from eating the recalled chicken has been reported.
