The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the Seneca Police Department are announcing a Wednesday afternoon arrest of a Seneca man on narcotics charges from both agencies.

29 year old Brent ORyan Freeman of Seneca was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 1:38pm yesterday after being arrested as the result of a traffic stop along a portion of Toccoa Highway near Westminster Wednesday.

Freeman was wanted by the Sheriff’s Office on two outstanding drug warrants related to the first drug sweep of 2020 by the Sheriff’s Office.  The drug sweep began the morning of Thursday, February 13th.

Freeman is the fifteenth subject arrested and/or have been or will be served their arrest warrants by the Sheriff’s Office as a result of the investigation.  Freeman was charged with two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine by the Sheriff’s Office.  The Sheriff’s Office sought a total of seventeen individuals as part of the drug sweep  

The Seneca Police Department also had three narcotics arrest warrants against Freeman that were served at the Detention Center.   

Freeman was released from the Detention Center on April 1st on his own recognizance.  He was given a combined $120,000 personal recognizance bond.
