Election Run-Off; Vote Today

Polls are open today, November 19th, for Run off Elections for the cities of Mauldin and Fountain Inn. 

The Mauldin Mayoral Run off is between Dennis Raines and Terry Merritt.

Fountain Inn's Sam Lee faces G-P McLeer. 

And in the Fountain Inn City Council Ward 2 seat, Mike Maier faces Jay Thompson. 

If you didn't vote last Tuesday, you still have a chance to let your voice be heard...

Voting is open to all.  According to Conway Belangia, Director  of the Greenville County Voter Registration and Election Board, "All voters who were qualified to vote in last Tuesday's election [Nov. 5th] can vote in the run-off election.  Whether they voted the first time or not it's open to all registered voters in the two cities." 

Spartanburg is also holding elections today, November 19th, for City Council District 1 seat.  The Run-off is between Sterling Anderson and Meghan Smith.

Polls will be open Tuesday November 19th from 7am to 7pm.  Absentee/In-Person voting is underway right now. 

In-Person voting for Mauldin and Fountain Inn Run-Off Elections is taking place at County Square, Conference Room H, in downtown Greenville.

Registered voters will need to present a picture I-D when voting. 

(SC Driver's License, Voter Registration Card w/ID, SC ID card, Military ID and/or Passport)

Official release from the Greenville County Voter Registration and Election Board:

Run-off elections are scheduled for the City of Maudlin and the City of Fountain Inn on Tuesday, November 19th. 

These Run-off elections were ordered on Friday, November 8th by the respective Municipal Election Commissions. 

Absentee voting is available to voters unable to cast a ballot at their polling place between 7 am and 7 pm on Tuesday, November 19th. 

In-person voting hours for the City of Mauldin and City of Fountain Inn  run-off elections are now available

Now through November 18, 2019 Weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended Hours on Saturday, November 16th , 9am - 1pm

 Absentee Voting is located in County Square Conference Room H. The outside sign on the front of the building is the Human Service Agencies.

Registered voters participating in the Run Off elections will need to provide one of the required picture IDs when voting.
