The Spartanburg City Council has passed an emergency ordinance requiring masks within city limits in certain places.

The ordinance was passed unanimously this afternoon.

Much like Greenville's emergency ordinance, the public must use a face covering in grocery stores and pharmacies.

This ordinance also requires face coverings on buses.

Those with underlying health conditions or religious beliefs which prevent them from wearing masks will be exempt from the ordinance.
