Fatal Pedestrian Accidents

Two fatal pedestrian accidents over the weekend in Greenville County.

South Carolina Highway Patrol reports the first accident happened around 5:20 AM on Saturday morning on Wade Hampton Blvd. near Cherokee Drive.

A Mazda 4 door vehicle was driving in the far left lane when the pedestrian attempted to cross the road.

The pedestrian was announced dead at the scene.

The second accident happed around 10:40 PM on Saturday night on Augusta Road near the Garrison Road intersection.

A Volkswagen SUV struck a pedestrian who was standing still in the road.

They also died at the scene.

Neither drivers in the accidents were injured.

Both accidents are still under investigation.
