A Woodruff Road collision results in DUI charges for driver.

Master Trooper Gary Miller reports David Sean Lownsbery, 51 of Simpsonville, attempted a left hand turn onto Verdin Road off Woodruff around 10:30pm Friday night and was struck by an oncoming Yamaha motorcycle.  

The rider of the bike was ejected and killed.  

Lownsbery, the sole occupant of his 2016 Chevy Camaro, was charged in the collision with felony DUI with death and open container.  

The Coroner identified the motorcyclist as 25 year old Matthew Christian of Simpsonville.
