Greenville County Schools announced Thursday that they plan to continue to expand the reach of their feeding and internet services for students during school closures.

On Monday, March 30, two more bus stop locations will be added to the list of feeding and Wi-Fi sites the school is providing for their students while schools are closed due to COVID-19 concerns.

Schools were closed on March 16 and were set to remain closed until March 31. McMaster made an announcement on Tuesday that the school closure would be extended through April 30.

During this time, GCS has been providing breakfasts and lunches to students under the age of 18 as well as Wi-Fi hotspots at various locations by bus.

GCS also announced that these efforts have grown to the point that they served over 19 thousand meals from the various school and bus sites on Thursday, brining their total meals served since school closures to over 88 thousand.

The two new spots added to the bus routes for these services are at Grove Station Apartments and Juanita Butler Community Center.

More information on these services and a full list of locations can be found on the GCS website.
