Rudy is still on the run... The Greenville County Sheriff's Office continues to ask the public to help locate the missing German Shepherd K-9 Deputy.

Update:  According to Lt. Jimmy Bolt, many tips and possible sighting calls have come in to the department, but still no Rudy.

He is microchipped. 

If you believe you see/have seen Rudy, please call 911 or the Greenville County Sheriff's Office at 864-271-5210. 

July 1, 2020:  Lt. Ryan Flood with the GCSO sent over another photo to give a better idea of Rudy's size and coat characteristics.

Many tips have come in, which the GCSO is thankful for.  

Message from the GCSO below:

In regards to the missing GCSO K-9, Rudy, we have not been able to locate him as of this time. We are receiving a number of leads from the community and have been following up on them diligently, however none of them have panned out to be Rudy.

We are continuing to urge the community to be on the look out for him and to call 911 if they see him. As noted in the previous release, he was discovered missing yesterday from the back yard, fenced-in area of his handler’s residence, located off of Devenger Road.

June 30, 2020: The Greenville County Sheriff's Office search teams are actively looking for a Sheriff’s Office K-9, who goes by “Rudy”.

The K-9, a German Shepherd, escaped from his handler’s residence off of Devenger Road.

The means of the dog’s escape are unknown at this time.

Deputies request for anyone who sees the dog to call 911 immediately.
