Hillcrest High Student Arrested

SIMPSONVILLE, SC – On March 21, 2017 School Resource Officers at Hillcrest High School found that four students had consumed gummy bear candy laced with THC.  


A 15 year old Hillcrest High School student gave the laced gummy bears to three other students and is also one of the four who consumed the candy.  The student has been charged with distribution of marijuana.  


One student was transported to an area hospital for treatment. At the time of this release, there is no further information on the condition of the student.  


As this is an open investigation, there is no further information to be released at this time.
