Prisma Health Suspends Statements and Billing

For Coronavirus Patients

Prisma Health announced that it will be suspending all statements and billing for COVID-19 patients.

“The entire Prisma Health team is committed to meeting the healthcare needs of our communities and want to ensure that patients have access to the care they need,” said Senior Media Relations Coordinator Sandy Dees in a press release Thursday.

Additionally, COVID-19 patients will not be required to make any upfront payments.

These suspensions will remain in place until Prisma Health finalizes details with insurance companies, lab partners and state and federal agencies.
