Volunteers to help pack "Kindness Kits"

This coming Monday, the 20th, Greenville Technical College will hold it's 7th annual Martin Luther King, Day of Service.  

The event will reflect King's vision for unity and selflessness by preparing "kindness kits" filled with personal care items and snacks for the local homeless community.

Sign-in will take place at 8:30am at McAlister Square Center Court, activities kick off at 9 and end around 12 noon.

Greenville Tech is calling on Volunteers to help fill 2,000 kits.  TD Bank and Duke Energy will be providing supplies and lunch.

• Volunteers are expected to gather for a day that represents Dr. King’s vision for unity and selfless service.

McAlister Square Center Court, 225 South Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29606


• Sign-in will take place at 8:30 a.m. A short program will discuss the purpose and mission of the event.

• Activities kick off at 9 a.m. and will finish around noon

• Volunteers will be making “Kindness Kits” for the local homeless population and donating them to organizations and programs that are in direct contact with homeless individuals.

• The goal is to pack 2,000 kits, which will include personal care items and snacks.

• TD Bank and Duke Energy are sponsors, providing supplies, lunch, and many of the volunteers.
